Based on a true story, Mike Weiss (Chris Evans) is a young Houston lawyer and drug addict. Paul Danziger (co-director Mark Kassen), is his old friend and law partner of a straight-laced. Personal injury law firm they are getting by, but things really get interesting when they decide to take the case involving Vicky (Vinessa Shaw), a local emergency room nurse, who pricked by contaminated needles. As Weiss and Danziger dig deeper into this case, health care and pharmaceutical conspiracy rocked on exposure and heavyweight lawyers engaged in the defense. Out of their league, but invested in their own profits, mounting pressures pushing lawyers underdogs two cases and their businesses to the breaking point.
